SCRAP PREPARATION
Before You Bring Scrap
Clean, non-ferrous materials pay more than contaminated materials. For example, extruded aluminum window frames pay more when they a free of contaminates, such as: screws, nails, caulking, weather striping, thermal break, etc. Call if you have any questions.
Scrap Requirements
All scraps must be free of hazardous materials. No free-flowing liquids of any kind are allowed. Steel drums must have the top removed. Refrigerators and freezers must have the refrigerant gas evacuated prior to recycling. No sealed tanks. Propane tanks must have the valves removed. Please call for other types of tank preparation requirements. Aluminum cans must be separated from aluminum foils. To sell a vehicle, the original owner must present title. Dismantling permits are also acceptable.
Items Not Accepted
We do not take loose tires, cardboard, plastic, televisions, computer monitors, or electronic devices. Metals are generally acceptable if they have a 70%+ recovery. We do recycle lower recovery electrical wiring.
